The cottage itself is lovely, spacious, full of charm, and has plenty of beds, so it works well for getting together. The old fridge was a downside. I also got the cleaning option wrong, I admit, but the owner saw us cleaning and said nothing, even though I’d written that we were paying for it. We left the place cleaner than we found it and still got charged. After we discussed it, she said she’d refund part of the cleaning fee, but instead offered a discount voucher for a possible future stay. I don’t think that’s fair. Such a shame.

We only had a very short night here, but the cottage was comfortable and pleasant, and everything was just right. Our hosts were so kind and welcoming. Thanks, we’d definitely recommend it.

The animals were a lovely extra for both the kids and adults, and the countryside around the place is lush, green, and wonderfully quiet. Murielle, thank you for all the thoughtful touches. A really memorable stay, in a magnificent setting, with a wonderful hostess.

A lovely, relaxing place tucked away in the Vosges Mountains. It’s full of charm, and everything you need for comfort is there, apart from sheets and towels, so bring your own.
