The Vietnamese food from the small stand by reception was what really stuck with me. The campsite has plenty of shade from its scattered trees and enough provisions, but finding a level spot to sleep was a nightmare. It's on a very steep hill, which could be intimidating for some drivers, and the walks to reception or the pool are quite a workout.

The staff do their best to help, but pitching a tent is a real challenge. The ground is packed hard with sand and stones, about as tough as the Rocky Mountains of Colorado in the USA. Good luck getting the pegs in with a rock unless you bring your own fancy mallet. Maybe that's where the campsite got its name.

The setting was lovely, but our visit to look around with the kids put us off. The staff were absolutely rude, and the areas we saw didn't look very clean. When I asked at reception for the actual prices, they told me to check online, so we decided not to stay.
