The historic building has been renovated nicely, but the welcome was awful. After a frosty hello, we were met with a lot of restrictions, including having to arrive after 5 p.m. and eat breakfast before 9 a.m. We felt like we were in the way. In the rooms, damaged things like fallen baseboards hadn’t been fixed, and we had to make the beds ourselves. A real shame at the price they charge.

There was plenty to choose from at the buffet dinner, and the room was spacious. The location was good too.

The decor is lovely, the beds are comfortable, and the rooms are nice. I’d be happy to stay here for a couple of days.

The rooms were nice, and the staff were friendly. I didn’t mind there being a child.
