The bistrot was a real highlight, with excellent breakfasts and dinners, and there are plenty of nearby towns for day trips. We loved the beautiful natural setting at Chateau de Montcaud. Our room was spacious, luxurious and contemporary, and the staff made a special effort to welcome our five-year-old as well as us.

We made Chateau de Montcaud our honeymoon stop for a few days and had such a lovely time. Its central location made it easy to reach many towns in Provence, and we took advantage of the included bike rental to visit one of the beautiful nearby towns. Both restaurants were lovely. We can't wait to come back.

The pool is great, and there are fig trees nearby plus a short walking route around the property. Getting there is difficult, though. For the price and star rating, the rooms felt very basic, and the food at both breakfast and dinner was only so-so. The 2 star Michelin restaurant didn't feel worth the cost.

The staff were friendly and the property is beautiful, but the chateau and gardens looked a little run down, and the place lacked atmosphere. Room amenities were sparse for a five-star hotel. It was good overall, just less than I expected for the price and category.

We spent the hot days cooling off in the lovely pool, and the e-bikes were great for touring the countryside. The rooms were comfortable and made for a good night's sleep. Staff were superb, and dinner outside was quiet and excellent.
