Casa Nova Maison d'hotes

Lydia's maison has a fantastic view from the terrace, and it was a really pleasant stay. It worked very well as a base for Ajaccio and Cargese. Lydia was an extraordinary host, and we absolutely loved the place.

The location is peaceful and still within walking distance of the beach. Our rooms were well equipped and maintained, and the house has been thoughtfully decorated with high quality products. Lydia is a passionate, engaged host who makes breakfast herself every morning and is always supportive. We spent three days at Casa Nova Maison, and it was one of my best accommodation experiences in years. Nothing we needed was missing, and I hope to come back. Thanks to Lydia, the trip became an unforgettable experience.

The rooms were large and immaculate, with a little patio, seating, and a drying rack. The pool was amazing, the view incredible, and breakfast was abundant and delicious, with most of the jams and other things made by Lydia from her yard. This was one of the finest places I stayed during two months travelling in Europe. Lydia's warm, generous nature made me feel at home. She recommended the best sights and a boat trip to see the Scandolo Nature Reserve. The ride was beautiful, memorable, and informative. She also pointed me to a great restaurant right on one of the most beautiful beaches I've seen, here in Sagone, and called ahead to check they had a fish plate for me. The food was the best I'd had in a while. They rent beach chairs and umbrellas too, which made it a delightful day. When I was unsure about my plans for Italy and the rest of Europe, Lydia helped me sort things out and reassured me. If you get the chance to stay here, do yourself a favor and go. Magnifique!

Dinner with Lydia is a must. The thoughtful courses came with lovely conversations with her and the other guests, and we stayed up late. She was also generous with her time in the morning, helping us call businesses around the island to arrange activities since our French was limited. Her suggestions for places within driving distance led us on memorable journeys along the coast and into the mountains. A delightful stay with a warm host.
