I wouldn't recommend this hotel. It costs too much for the level of service: the rooms are small, the breakfast is poor, and it's far from the zoo. There's no lift, and the walls are so thin that another guest's phone ringing woke us up.

The staff were friendly and keen to help, and the rooms were clean. That was about all I liked. The rooms are tiny and old, the showerhead won't stay put, and you can hear people talking and snoring or stomping on the floor above. When someone flushes, the water sounds like it's rushing inside the walls. For 100€ a night, who thought that was fair? The town itself is half run down, with abandoned buildings and broken windows.

Dinner was 32 euros for three courses, with huge, tasty starters, a fun isle mysterious :) and fab pepper sauce. Our room had a lovely river view. It was clean and comfy, though a touch small, and the pictures on the website are up to date. It's a family-run hotel, and I'd stay again.

Breakfast had fresh local food, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the stay: the hotel is beautifully decorated, the rooms were very clean, and both the beds and shower were good.

The restaurant food was delicious, and they had good ideas for keeping children happy, like presenting their food nicely and having coloring pages and pencils ready. The people serving us were very friendly. It's a nice, clean, comfortable hotel about 7 minutes from Zooparc Beauval, if that's where you're headed. The facilities are old, but they look after them well.
