I stayed one night while attending a seminar. The theme was lovely and relaxing, and the area was very quiet, with no busy roads or other homes nearby. The food was tasty and made with high quality ingredients. Staff were professional and well trained, and there were plenty of parking spaces. My room was spacious and nicely decorated, with an extremely comfortable king size bed. Soundproofing between rooms wasn’t very good. Breakfast was quite limited on the savory side, just ham, hard-boiled egg, and cheese. I’d have liked beans, vegetables, and maybe smoked salmon. At €10, though, if you only eat sweet things, I guess you’d be satisfied.

The location is great for the zoo, which is why we chose it for a long weekend, but I wouldn't stay again or recommend it. The hotel was clean, nice and quiet, though I hadn't expected the building site nearby. I was travelling alone and was given a room with four beds. The food was pleasant, but far too expensive for what was served. Dinner was the same each night and breakfast was very poor. As a hotel manager, I know how hospitality should work, and the restaurant staff need training. I often had to wait to be seated, once for 15 minutes while staff chatted by the tills. They seated me with families whose children were screaming, and I had to wait another 15 minutes just to get tap water. The drinks were pricey for such small servings, and very little English was spoken. Their expressions and body language made it seem like they didn't want to be at work.

The room worked well for us and the kids, and there was a play area just a few metres away. The zoo was about a 10-minute drive. Check-in was friendly, and the buffet was more than decent. We also felt safe with the pandemic precautions. A lovely family stay, absolutely recommended.
