The views alone are hard to put a value on, and there’s so much to do around the chateau, from hiking to swimming in the pool or walking down to the lake. We went as a big group and had everything we needed. The place brings together historic character and modern comforts, including great baths and showers, a home gym, sound systems, and loads of places to relax. Every corner feels elegant and scenic. One of the best stays any of us will have, I think.

The pool and deck were a real highlight, and there are several places to eat both indoors and outside. We were shown around by Pierre, the friendly groundskeeper, who gave us a tour of the house. It’s newly renovated, with updated bedrooms and lovely bathrooms, and the views and sunsets are magical. There are also great hikes and a beautiful lake nearby. Even the photos don’t capture how impressive it is. If you’re unsure about booking, go for it. We had an unbelievable stay.

We hosted a small wedding here and all 16 of us could sleep comfortably, with no space issues. Everyone wished we’d booked more than three nights. The pool and gym got plenty of use, and the beautifully restored building balances medieval character with modern amenities. It feels secluded, with no one nearby and dramatic mountain views all around, like our own little alpine bubble. If you want to get away from everything, this place is perfect.

Pierre, the groundskeeper, was generous with his time and gave us a friendly tour of the spacious property. The terrace with outdoor seating, pool, several dining areas, pool table, and modern gym were among the things that made our visit so good. The 12th-century castle sits in extraordinary natural surroundings, and its architecture had us in awe as soon as we arrived. I’ve stayed in plenty of holiday rentals, but this was the most incredible weekend I can remember. It’s equipped for family gatherings, reunions with friends, or weddings. I’d recommend it and can’t wait to return.

The chateau was spotless, with fresh towels in every bathroom and separate ones for the pool. Nature surrounds the property, and the view is breathtaking from every side. There’s a pool on site, plus plenty to do at the lake, just a short walk or drive away. We had a stunning weekend, and I’m already dreaming about coming back.
