B&B Hotel Montpellier Vendargues

The parking out front fills up in the evening with KFC customers. Inside, the room wasn't very clean: there were dirty marks on the toilet, and the bathroom ceiling had mold stains. The air conditioning dripped and the lights didn't work. Wi-Fi kept disconnecting, then became unusable. Worst B&B I've ever stayed in. I can't imagine how the bathroom was cleaned.

The reception staff spoke good English, which was a very nice surprise, and they clean the rooms every day and clearly try to get things right. My room didn't have air conditioning, though, and the Wi-Fi had security and configuration problems. Browsing was almost impossible because Chrome and Safari refused to connect to sites over the compromised HTTPS.

The room had no tea or coffee facilities, just unfriendly notices warning about charges for stolen items. The towel or bath mat was possibly the smallest I've ever seen, unless someone had dropped a handkerchief. The hotel itself was clean and tidy, but you could smell McDonald's, and KFC's bins were noisy late at night and again early in the morning.

Handy for the A31, with McDonald's and KFC right next door. The parking isn't private and there's no fence, though it felt more or less safe to leave the car there.
