The location made it easy to get everywhere, while the hotel still felt calm and relaxing for a family stay. We found the rooms spacious, comfortable, and spotless, with care given to the details. The welcoming, professional staff were attentive from the moment we arrived and made us feel at home. Everything seemed thoughtfully arranged for comfort and enjoyment. We had a memorable stay at the Grand Hôtel Serre Chevalier, would happily return, and absolutely recommend it. Thank you!

The service is great, and I used to really enjoy unwinding in the spa after skiing. But letting young children in takes away the quiet I expect at a four-star hotel spa. If I wanted to hear kids and their parents shouting, I’d go to a tropical pool with slides. One other thing: the bathroom window looks into the bedroom, so switching on the light at night wakes the other person. Darker paint might help. Thanks for responding so thoughtfully to my review on 9/1. I changed it right away, and I’ll be back in two weeks. Looking forward to it!

We had a great location and good service, but room 211 was tiny and had no view. Book spa times early because availability is very limited. The steam room was out of order all week, which was disappointing for a hotel presenting itself as a spa hotel. There was no offer of compensation for the reduced services, so I wouldn’t choose to return.

The staff were all lovely, and the location puts you right around the middle of everything. Everything was in good condition and worked properly, though the Chalet layout was terrible. The loft is clearly meant for children, and I wish we’d known that before booking.
