La Mirande de Saint-Clar

The views over the Gers countryside are spectacular, and La Mirande is a beautiful old house. It's been renovated with care and style while keeping its original features. Hilde and Filiep are warm, welcoming hosts and great company. The rooms are large and comfortable, and breakfast is generous and a real delight.

Breakfast outside under the fruit trees, looking down the valley as far as the eye could see, was fabulous. The rooms are stylish and comfortable, and there's a swimming pool. La Mirande is an important building in the beautiful Bastide town of Saint-Clar, sensitively restored and upgraded with real attention to detail. We had a fantastic stay, highly recommend it, and will certainly be back.

Even the rain showers couldn't spoil our relaxing, enjoyable return to La Mirande. We loved the calm setting, the regional food, the stylish room and the breakfast with a view. Hilde en Filiep's hospitality made it another lovely stay for Ilse and me.

Hilde and Phillippe looked after all ten of us so well for the whole wedding weekend. They made sure we had everything, from delicious, carefully prepared breakfasts and rides to the wedding to plenty of refreshments in the fridge. I can't wait to return to picturesque Saint Clar and these wonderfully genial hosts. Their B&B was just perfect. My best friend and I came to Saint Clar for a wedding in Avezan, with little idea where we'd be staying. As soon as we arrived, it was obvious we'd found somewhere special. Hilde and Phillippe's beautiful house sits at the end of Saint Clar, with stunning views of Gramond and the idyllic countryside around it. The garden, swimming pool and hot tub made such an inviting spot for an evening drink, and we happily took them up on it. Inside, the house is stunning, from the Mondriaan-inspired glasswork to the beautifully restored loft. It's been put together with care, attention and style. Our room was spacious, well equipped and very quiet at night, and the bed was extremely comfortable.
