Hotel L'abbaye

Saint-Cyprien is such a pretty place, and the hotel has lovely hillside views, especially by the outdoor pool. Parking felt safe, the breakfast was fresh and tasty, and the rooms were pretty. It’s a family-run hotel, with staff who clearly care and pay attention to the details. Would highly recommend.

We found this restaurant by chance while walking around St Cyprien, and what a discovery. It sits up the hill behind the village, with a spectacular view across the valley from both the terrace and our table. We started with cocktails outside, then moved to dinner. The food was delicious, with more to it than the usual duck served at tourist restaurants in the Dordogne. Service was friendly, attentive and professional. We admired the wine glasses and heard they had been used at her parents' wedding. The welcome felt as warm as dinner at good friends’ home. There’s a dedicated parking lot across the road.

A great find, and good value for money. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable, and the owners were delightful, always happy to help. We loved unwinding by the pool and having evening drinks on the terrace. Dinner at the hotel is well worth it, the food was excellent and the place was much less crowded than restaurants in nearby Sarlat. The recently opened hotel was just what we wanted, a quiet, gorgeous place in a sleepy French town. The town still has all the essentials, including a weekly market, a great bakery, shops, pubs and restaurants, all among pretty architecture. We’ll definitely recommend it.

We came with the family for an aperitif and ended up in a little paradise. The buildings are exquisite, and the garden is beautiful. Lovely people gave us a warm welcome and great service. The children didn’t want to leave! We’ll definitely return. I’d recommend it for a relaxing, stylish evening with wine and wonderful views.
