Courtyard Paris Saint Denis

The noise from the street started early, despite the room being described as a “view” room. That was only one problem. The room was cold, and the AC didn't work. The front desk kept telling me to wait ten minutes, then after three hours said it couldn't be adjusted at all, with snow outside. They charged my city tax twice. I emailed about a refund and got no answer for a week, then called and was told they'd check, but heard nothing further. Marriott customer service eventually replied arrogantly that I should wait for the credit card posting, even though I attached a statement showing the charge had posted. I felt they showed no basic respect or effort to help. Don't let this place ruin your Paris trip, however cheap it is. Avoid it.

The stay was good in general, but after the holidays and January 1st the service wasn't handled well. We had to call the desk several times because the room wasn't clean. Towels weren't changed for two days, and there was no toilet paper or soap. They also didn't replenish the coffee or sugar.

I picked this hotel because it was near my work, and stayed five nights. The room and bedding were much better than I expected for the price, and everyone from check-in through checkout was kind and accommodating. I'd definitely stay here again on a work trip.

For a quick Paris trip, I was surprised by this hotel. The room was large and modern, the breakfast had lots of choices, and there's a decent gym. It's about a seven-minute walk to M-13, which makes getting to central Paris convenient. Not much is nearby at night, but why spend $$$$ on a hotel in central Paris?
