Hôtel Côté Ventoux

In 2021, the hotel looked run-down and much of it seemed out of order, though it may once have looked good in the photos. There was no bar, lounge, or restaurant because it was closed, so the nearest place to get a drink or food was about 20 minutes away. The rooms and beds felt old and worn, and weren’t pleasant. Staff were rude and untrustworthy, didn’t tell the truth, and ignored us when we tried to complain about these problems. We ended up leaving after one night, even though we had booked more.

The staff seemed under pressure, especially during dinner. Still, it was good.

The children's single beds and the air conditioning were the only real positives for us. We spent a week here as a family, and it was expensive for what we got. By the end, the pool felt like a self-service buffet, with drinks, chips, and cake around it, people smoking in the water, and sweaty guests jumping in after pétanque. It was a real lack of respect for others. The breakfast needs a lot of work: no fresh orange juice, barely tasty frozen pastries, cheese that had been cut three days earlier, and ham covered in flies. For a 3-star hotel, that was unacceptable. The manager at reception smokes indoors. Our bedroom floors were stained, the outdoor bins were overflowing onto the ground, the terrace was very dirty, and the chairs were torn. The first two days the pool was pleasant, but after that we were very disappointed. The place needs refreshing.
