We ate in the cozy garden and really enjoyed the seasonal menu, prepared with care. The wine list was fairly priced, and the food was delicious. The staff were lovely too. It’s a great chance to visit the charming city.

The slow-cooked pork was tender and packed with flavor, and the tomato tart was buttery, flaky, and so good I’d say you have to try it. We spotted the chicken with mushroom sauce at the next table and it looked amazing, so we’ll come back for that. We’d been hoping to find a meal that introduced us to Provençal cooking, and found this place in a pretty courtyard in the center of Saint Didier. The food was lighter, fresher, and healthier than I expected compared with other French cuisine we’ve tried. Joel, the chef, and his wife Alice explained that the menu changes with what they find at local seasonal markets, and you can taste it. Thanks to Joel and Alice for the lovely meal and even better service.
