La Pénardière

We stayed here for the American Weekend in Saint Étienne de Tulmont. There was plenty of room for a group, and the place was clean, shady, and peaceful. The welcome was fantastic. Many thanks to the owners for their hospitality, we highly recommend it.

The kids were thrilled with the animals and, naturally, the pool. We also found the surroundings and the gîte wonderfully relaxing, and felt at ease there. Evelyne and her husband were friendly and attentive while still giving us space. We’ve just come back from a week at their peaceful, welcoming, traditional Gîte la Pénardière. A lovely experience, and somewhere we’d recommend and remember. Thanks for everything.

Our main regret was leaving so soon, as the guestbook comments show. The owners were charming and discreet, and we felt at home. We booked two nights for two couples attending a wedding, arriving late on Friday. We got a wonderful welcome, could enjoy the cottage’s amenities, and were allowed a relaxed checkout on Sunday. That was much appreciated after going to bed close to dawn. Definitely a cottage to recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this charming house, tucked into a beautiful setting. It was very clean and had everything we needed, and we were greeted so warmly. I’d definitely recommend the place.
