The little grocery shop beneath the hotel had a great range of regional goods and everyday essentials. My three friends and I stopped by on a hot day in late May for a cold beer. The local beers were delicious and nicely chilled. The owner even offered us glasses, despite the signs saying to drink from the bottle, and we sat on the friendly terrace. We also picked up some tasty pastries. We liked the beer so much that we returned to buy some for home. Since the shop was about to close, they gave us the last croissants and pains au chocolat of the day for free. The young man and his wife bought the hotel a few years ago, renovated it, and opened the shop in the middle of the pandemic. They're a lovely, energetic couple with lots of ideas, sourcing local products from young businesses in the Dévoluy and beyond. It's a lively little area. Friends stayed at the hotel a year ago and found it very comfortable. They'd love to return, especially because they appreciated the shared kitchen outside their room.
