The area is lovely, with a fresh produce market every Monday morning, lots of nice walks and sights, and usually an event each day. My sister even spotted a massive red deer on her walk before sunset. If you're walking, download your route for offline use unless you're experienced, since phone signal is only there about 75% of the time. At the market, look around before buying. Some very kind locals offer good quality for the price, while others try to get as much as they can from tourists. The stay itself was a joke. The room was tiny, really only suitable for two, and poor value for money. The fridge stopped cooling and started heating our food. There was mold in the shower, the toilet wouldn't flush, and noise from the hallway carried straight into the room, even when people came back quietly late at night. The place gets 0/5 from me. We left it cleaner than we found it. Three of us cleaned carefully, even the outside of our door in the hallway, so whoever came after us would have little to do. We were told to leave by 11:00 AM and waited until 11:30 AM to hand over the keys in person, but nobody showed up. Then, eight hours later, the owner emailed us calling us, word for word, “DISGUSTING PEOPLE”. Are you kidding me? All three of us had been down on our hands and knees cleaning out of consideration for the cleaning staff. They should be ashamed. Don't book in this building. Find somewhere else in the area, it's worth the extra money.
