The room had plenty of space to work, lots of sockets for charging, and a comfortable bed. The bathroom was bright and spacious, and I had an open view of the train station and city. Breakfast was good and mostly self-service. The eggs on the rack are uncooked, so you need to boil them in the hot water bath unless you usually eat them raw. The hotel is very close to the station, perhaps one of the first built nearby, which may explain its name. Reception is staffed 24/7 for late-night arrivals.

I stayed four nights and found the room clean and tidy, with a very good toilet and shower. It was fine for a couple. The hotel is an older building that's been renovated, and there's a small restaurant called “la loco” on the ground floor. Breakfast was included and good, though not Halal, so I had bread and fruit. The staff were very friendly, especially the receptionist I saw each morning. The location is very nice, just across from Saint Etienne Railway Station. There's a little elevator to the first and second floors, but it's very narrow and slow.

The rooms were very old, and the bed was hard as concrete. The pictures on the booking site don't show what the hotel really looks like. Not what I expected!

This is a small hotel with limited facilities. Breakfast isn't included, the rooms are on the small side, and the restaurant doesn't have enough menu choices.
