Chambre d’hôtes La Ferté

The host was really helpful, and the building is beautiful. Our room had plenty of space, with some lovely little touches.

For €86, I found one night expensive given the service. The table still had crumbs and coffee marks from the day before. Breakfast was very sparse, just four slices of bread, two croissants and a little orange juice, and neither the tea nor coffee was drinkable. The room itself was adequate, but smelled damp. There were used tissues behind the bin, and the bath towels looked as if previous guests hadn't used them. The shower puff didn't seem hygienic at all, unless it had belonged to the previous guests. Even so, we slept well. Maybe there was some explanation, given the earlier reviews, or maybe we were just unlucky.

The breakfast was a real treat, and the rooms were lovely, tastefully decorated and fitted with superb bedding. The owner is really nice, and the outside is magnificent, with a real feeling of being close to nature. The common room is pleasant too, though it would be better with a television. 😊

The room was superb and the setting is magnificent. We were greeted so warmly, and the owner was always smiling, attentive, and quick to answer our requests. Breakfast was excellent, with jam, fresh bread, orange juice, rolls, and plenty more. Nothing to complain about. I'd happily come back and highly recommend it.
