Le Petit Bijou

The grounds at Le Petit Bijou are spacious and open, stretching down to the river, and the setting is wonderfully peaceful. There’s plenty to see nearby, from busy market towns and villages to riverside restaurants, and the famous place of Cignac isn’t far away. We returned for another visit after far too long away because of Covid, and it was just as good as our previous stays. Ali & Jason were always available if we needed anything, and they’ve added a new jacuzzi beside the lovely pool this year. The accommodation has a lovely French authenticity. It’s a perfect spot for a relaxing break in the beautiful countryside. We can’t recommend it highly enough and will definitely come back!

We had a lovely two-week break with Alison and Jason in August 23. Their advice on local attractions was great, and the facilities made it feel like home for our family. They were around whenever we needed them, while also giving us space when we wanted it.

We found parking right in front of the rooms, and the owner was very friendly. The spacious grounds had chickens to feed, plus a pool, jacuzzi, trampoline and swing. Our beds were super comfortable, the bathroom was large, and breakfast was full. We hadn’t booked or given notice before arriving, but were still able to enjoy the rooms. No complaints at all. Fantastic!

A lovely building and a big garden make this a great place to relax and do nothing at all. There’s a large pool, trampoline, jacuzzi, billiards, foosball, bicycles, an exercise bike, weight-training equipment and mini outdoor games. The owners are friendly.
