We had a great time at the Aqua Lodge, and the whole family found it fun and unusual. It was clean, comfortable, and really cool. At night we watched the bright stars, and we got to see both sunrise and sunset. Everything we needed was there, and Franck was on hand to help with questions and mishaps. Getting there takes a bit of effort: you need to operate a small dinghy between the island and the boat moored in a beautiful bay. Franck also connected us with good food, snorkeling, shopping, guides, and a small-plane trip, whatever we needed. He really is the host with the most. Thank you, and merci beaucoup, Franck! We had a wonderful view from the lodge, but the location came with some drawbacks. We stayed two nights, and couldn’t give it five stars because it’s only 200 meters from the docks where the ferries come and go. The lodge moves, and the noise starts at 6 am.

We’d booked the lodge for 4 nights but, because of heavy seaweed, we could only stay there one night. The dinghy kept getting caught in it, so we couldn’t travel to and from the marina. I understood this was an unusual situation, since these things happen. What brought the rating down to two stars was being charged for all 4 nights. They didn’t respond to my emails, text msg's, or phone calls. Franck did what he could with the situation he had, which is why I gave two stars rather than one.
