The location was nice and the pool was clean, but the furniture around it was old and poorly kept. The Gite didn't meet our expectations, mainly because the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The kitchen and bathroom needed a proper clean, and the mugs were stained. We had to wash those, along with our breakfast dishes and cutlery. The plastic table on the lovely patio was dirty and had no tablecloth, so we used our pareo as one. The air conditioning wasn't working properly, and we couldn't sleep with the windows open because there were no mosquito nets. A very bright light also came through the window, so after the first night I covered it with a towel. The place needs a more thorough clean and better upkeep before guests arrive. I know this review sounds rather blunt, but I own holiday rental apartments too, and I know what proper maintenance takes.

The hosts were the real gems here. They were kind, generous with their time, and full of helpful recommendations. The place sits in a lush, beautiful garden, and the outdoor area felt private. We loved the pool and the location near the pointe for swimming, hiking, and snorkeling. We stayed in the Coco bungalow, and its interior felt small for four people. The kitchen was basic and cramped, but we still enjoyed our visit. Thank you!

A lovely place to begin a holiday. Our flight was delayed, so we arrived very late, but the owners still made us feel welcome. They'd put bread in the fridge for us, which we really appreciated. It meant we could start our holiday with a nice breakfast. Thanks for the hospitality.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable week at Gîte Papaye. Marie and Mathieu gave us a warm welcome and were attentive and caring throughout. The gîte is clean, peaceful, simple, and practical. Marie also had good suggestions for restaurants and beaches. One small thing, some of the kitchen utensils could do with replacing since they seem quite worn. It doesn't change our overall rating.

Marie and Mathieu were incredibly attentive and took care of everything we needed. The cottage is easy to reach, clean, and practical, set in a lovely garden with mature trees. We enjoyed the pool as a break from the heat, even with lots of beaches nearby. There are plenty of restaurants where you can try the delicious local food. A great place for a peaceful holiday, and I'd recommend booking with confidence.
