The owner was so friendly and made us feel welcome, and breakfast was a generous continental spread. We stopped here overnight earlier in the summer on our way back to Portugal, and the room had everything we needed. There’s a separate kitchen downstairs for guests, though you’ll need to bring your own food and milk. It’s a lovely little place with loads of free parking. We’ll stay again when we’re travelling between the UK and Portugal.

We slept really well and had a fabulous stay. The cottage sits in a peaceful setting with a big green space, and the sleeping arrangements were excellent. The main room and kitchen felt a little small, though.
A lovely guest house out in the countryside. Just know it’s quiet here, with the rooster crowing. If that’s not your thing, keep looking.
