The calm atmosphere and the garden made Villa Castoria feel like a private home, even though it was conveniently close to Saint-Germain-en-Laye’s center and easy to reach. It felt peaceful and private, and I’d gladly come back. My room was bright, spacious, exceptionally clean, quiet, and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable too, and the modern bathroom was spotless and well equipped. The furnishings were high quality, and everything seemed carefully arranged. Villa Castoria itself is beautifully designed and impeccably maintained, with tasteful décor and a welcoming layout that feels residential rather than generic or commercial. The exterior made a good first impression, and the interior lived up to it. The garden and outdoor areas added to the relaxed, secluded feel. The villa balances that tranquility with a convenient location, making it suitable for a leisure or business visit, or simply for a quiet rest. In my experience, it was one of the most pleasant places I’ve stayed in the area, and the comfort, privacy, and elegance made it special.

The owner was so friendly, spoke several languages, and made a wonderful French breakfast. The scenery around the city of Saint Germain was lovely, and the train station was very close, with Paris center 25 minutes away. Our short stay at Villa Castoria was beautiful, with cosy rooms, good beds, a wonderful shower, and private parking. Thanks for making it feel like home and for such an uncomplicated stay. We’ll certainly return.

The villa looks lovely, the equipment is excellent, and the staff seemed kind at first. The room was clean and spacious, and breakfast was fine. But after a problem, my first impression that this might be my best stay in France turned into the opposite. There was a heater issue, and the owner may have asked me in French to use less water. I don't speak French well, and the request wasn't clear about how much water I could use. I put a little water in the bathtub, intending to use it to wash my body and hair, and tried not to use much. While I was on a call, perhaps a few minutes later, the owner came up the stairs outside my room and shouted at me loudly, even as I tried to apologize. He told me, “GO TO HELL.” I have never had a visitor told to go to hell like that. I felt sorry, but I had no choice but to leave early because I didn't want to spend another night there. As I was leaving, he shouted in French and came at me with his body. I nearly fell. Anyone thinking of staying should know this could happen, and could have a very sad experience like mine.

We'd gladly come back. The large, newly renovated rooms were fresh and clean, and the hosts were friendly and nice. It was quiet and calm in central St Germain en Laye, and breakfast was perfectly wonderful.
