The breakfasts were excellent, and the evening meals were generous and superb too. Everyone was so warm, friendly, and attentive. I’m ready to come back.

The setting is beautiful and fairly quiet, and the room was very comfortable. I spent a week at Maison le Barrage, and the owners were incredibly kind. Thanks again for such a lovely stay and for the delicious food. The crêpe was amazing.

Everything was just right when we stayed at the end of August: a peaceful setting, clean and comfortable accommodation, a warm welcome, and breakfast served by the owner. Thank you for such a lovely experience. I highly recommend it.

6/10
We appreciated the quiet location and superb view, along with the clean place, comfortable bedding, on-site parking, and cold drinks. But the hosts were overbearing and authoritarian. We felt watched during meals and when trying to relax. We’re responsible adults, not children who need supervising, and other guests staying at the same time felt the same way. It’s a shame we couldn’t use the cottage kitchenette. The accommodation isn’t suitable for people with disabilities, as the stairs are very steep and have no handrail. The advertised massages weren’t available, and access to the jacuzzi was restricted. For a family, it would have been helpful to have two rolls of toilet paper and a shower kit, as well as breakfast and dinner made with regional products.

The owner felt a bit too intrusive. We felt like teenagers being watched all the time, though maybe we misunderstood what a bed and breakfast is meant to be. The rooms were clean and good quality, the services were superb, and breakfast was top-notch.
