With just 19 rooms, Armancette feels calm and intimate, and we hardly encountered crowds anywhere. It was a very relaxing, well-run ski hotel. The whole place is laid out for comfort, so getting from the room to the spa or restaurants was easy. The team made us feel like VIPs from the start. Jason, Moritizo, Gabrielle, Noelli, and the other staff whose names I didn’t catch were all terrific. They arranged our ski passes, restaurant bookings, and shuttle rides to nearby areas, and even left thoughtful gifts for the kids in the room when we arrived. The rooms have a real luxury feel, with beautiful finishes, a large TV that rises electronically from the foot of the bed, and high-end electronic Japanese-style toilets. The spa has indoor and outdoor pools, a jacuzzi, and a state-of-the-art gym, a great place to relax after skiing. The chair lift is only a few steps away, and the dedicated ski locker room assigned on arrival has heated boot warmers, which made getting out to ski simple and organised. The surrounding village is quiet, picturesque, and peaceful. A few things to keep in mind: local food choices are limited, the main town with more shops and restaurants is about 20 minutes away, and it’s very quiet at night, so it may not suit anyone looking for nightlife. For a calm, high-quality ski stay where the staff take care of the details, Armancette is hard to beat.

This is the best ski hotel I’ve stayed at in at least the last five years. The ski lift is a three-minute walk away, and Ski rental is just 30 seconds from the hotel. The spa area is cosy and private, with a pool that’s kid-friendly. The staff were super friendly and responsive, and the rooms throughout the hotel are modern and new.

The team at L’Armancette made our family stay feel special, from the personal welcome at check-in to the attentive service throughout the hotel. The accommodation and facilities had a warm, luxurious feel, and breakfast was great. It’s in a peaceful neighbourhood with lovely scenery. We’d absolutely recommend staying here if you’re in the area. Thanks to everyone for a great experience.

We had a great time canyoning and kayaking, and the spa was a beautiful place to unwind after a long walk. The chalet was built to a high standard, with everything we needed and amazing views from every window. Cooking in the kitchen most evenings was easy. The local shop had most of what we needed to get started, though it closes for a few hours at lunchtime. There’s also a wonderful hotel bakery, and a large supermarket in the nearest town, about a 10-15 minute drive away.

The gym was decent, though another bench and a broader selection of dumbbells would help when more than one guest wants to use it. That was a small point in an otherwise fantastic stay. The whole team was friendly and attentive, and Maurizio especially stood out for his professionalism and eye for detail. The property itself is elegant, welcoming, and beautifully designed. Its peaceful setting and stunning views made the visit feel special. We loved our time at Armancette Saint-Nicolas de Véroce and are already hoping to return. Highly recommended.
