We picked this hotel for a two or three day visit to the region. The road next to it was busy during the day in late summer, but quiet at night. The room was clean enough, and the attached bathroom was clean and in good condition. The room itself was rustic and a little dated. Bedding was just acceptable: the mattresses were very soft and worn, though tolerable. At €47 a night, replacing them would improve comfort. We arrived around 4 pm and were dismayed to find reception didn't open until 6:30 pm. We had to wait, and nobody had told us the hours, so we could have planned differently. The welcome was adequate. After waiting two and a half hours, we asked the young woman at reception for ideas on places to visit before the day ended. She said she didn't know and wasn't from the area, even though it was the end of summer. No big deal, we managed. The television was the detail that showed, to us, a real lack of customer service. It was a small screen perched on a cabinet almost at ceiling height, with no way to tilt it. Watching from bed was impossible unless you liked extremely high-contrast, negative-looking images. We didn't fancy standing up to watch after a day sightseeing, so we went to sleep. In the end, it was a passable, decent hotel, but the prices are exorbitant. We won't be back.

The portions are generous, and the tartiflette here is the best! We got such a warm welcome at this really lovely restaurant. I’d definitely recommend it.

We were welcomed so warmly, and the meal was really good with plenty on the plate. I’d happily recommend it.
