The location is outstanding, just a two-minute walk from the cable car, but the rooms were hideous. We'd booked because friends had recommended the accommodation in the past. Our room smelled really bad, and later we found a towel with vomit on it in a corner of one of the rooms. We weren't given any bedsheets and had to buy our own, even though the listing said they were included. The rooms and apartments were dirty, things were broken, and the whole place needs a makeover. Absolutely not.

The view of Mont Blanc is stunning, and parking is spacious. You can also rent a garage beneath the hotel. The residence is very well placed, close to the mountain lifts and to shops for groceries. The furniture is a little old but works fine. Rooms have a TV and wifi, though the connection is often slow or has issues. The lounge has faster wifi, up to 1.3 Mb/second, with password:grandpanorama. There's also a sauna for 3 euro/pp, which you need to book at the service desk. The apartments were good and nothing in particular bothered me. January is a great time to go, since it's quiet and the ski slopes are in perfect condition. It is a little colder than March, but better for skiing.

You get warm rooms and plenty of hot water, with comfortable beds. The accommodation is spartan but adequate, with no frills. It's very convenient for the main gondola. During half term, you're lucky if you can park close to the accommodation.

Basic place to stay, but ideally placed for a ski trip right next to the telecabin. The town is a five-minute walk away.
