Mille Bulle

My favorite thing was getting up early and seeing the breathtaking view from our room balcony. We spent five nights here and enjoyed the scenery, food, and hospitality throughout. The location is peaceful and handy for skiing: the shuttle pickup is a four-minute walk away, while the restaurants in the main town are about a 20-minute walk. The bed was really comfortable and everything felt clean and cozy. If you're a group, I'd definitely choose the larger room Le Grand Refuge. And don't miss the buffet breakfast. I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

We had a great Saturday evening here while the weather was stormy. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the cooking felt creative, using local ingredients. We tried trout from Leman lake, deer (cerf) prepared two ways, and baked potatoes filled with caramelized onions with Comté sauce, followed by two light desserts. We went with a Hautes-Cotes de Beaune pinot noir, and the whole meal was very reasonably priced.

We only stayed one night, and had dinner and breakfast while we were there. The room was lovely and really comfortable, and every little detail seemed just right. The staff were so professional and committed. The food had delicate touches and distinctive flavors. We recommend it to people who appreciate discovering good food and a bit of luxury.

We ate very well in the restaurant, and the staff knew the food well. I would have liked a small à la carte menu too, since that might have saved us the trip into town for dinner. The hotel sits above St Gervais in a beautiful spot, and we had a very enjoyable stay. Everyone was attentive, friendly, and service minded. The location does have a drawback: without your own car, getting back from the town center in the evening is hard. The last free shuttle leaves at 19.50, and taxis aren't easy to find after that, so some kind of transport would be welcome. Our little cottage had a partly open bathroom, with the shower and sinks exposed to the room. I don't think that's a good setup because it makes the room damp. All in all, though, I can heartily recommend both La Ferme de Cupelin hotel and restaurant.
