L'envie

We stayed for three nights on the way south from the Roscoff Ferry port, and loved St Gilles Croix de Vie and the Chambre d'hotes. We could relax by the pool away from the crowds, with secure parking, yet restaurants, shops, and entertainment were only minutes away. Our favorite was Exotic Bali, the amazing Indonesian restaurant less than a five-minute walk around the corner. The welcome, room, and ambiance were all fantastic. Many thanks to you both for your hospitality.

The hosts were so kind as I tried speaking French, and they spoke a little English too, which was lovely. Our spacious, very clean “la terre” room had a super comfortable bed and a relaxing bath and shower. We enjoyed swimming in the pool, and the place is close to lots of restaurants and the city center. Breakfast was perfect, with a great selection of prepared foods and homemade things I hadn’t tried before. The coffee and croissants were great too. And the cat, cinnamon/canelle, was sweet, beautiful, friendly, and cuddly. I truly loved our stay and will definitely come back.

JP and Laurence were fantastic hosts. They stayed up late so we could check in and were so accommodating. The homemade breakfast was delicious, from the scrambled eggs to the fresh jam, and kept us full for most of the day. Our room was spacious, with a very large bed and lovely attention to detail, and having the pool right at our doorstep was great. We also adored their friendly, gorgeous cat Canet. It was our first stay at L'envie and we had an amazing time. We’ll definitely be back. Thanks so much for having us, JP and Laurence.

Laurence & JP gave us a warm, thoughtful welcome for our two-night stay. The room was comfortable and tastefully decorated, and we loved the delicious breakfast and the setting of this lovely house. L'Envie is ideally located, and we highly recommend it. Looking forward to staying again!
