The Spot

The shared area is nicely arranged, and we really appreciated the complimentary morning coffee. The site is inside a campsite, so there's access to the pool, bar, and snack bar. Bastien gave us a very warm welcome, but we were disappointed by the rest of the stay. Our faulty extension cord wasn't replaced after we reported it, and the supposed midnight curfew wasn't respected. People talked loudly past midnight, then again from 8 am, with little regard for communal living. It might suit younger guests who don't seem bothered by disturbing others. We wished Bastien and Lise had been more attentive. We'll remember this stay badly. That's just our personal view.

The campsite is well thought out, and I like the concept. But the tents are much too close. Having someone sit 50 cm from our entrance until 1 a.m., then again very early, felt oppressive. Some guests seemed not to notice how close the tents were and spoke loudly from sunrise. It's a shame when you're staying several nights. Maybe staff could step in when people are drunk and loud late at night. Several guests asked them to quiet down, but the noise continued and kept children from sleeping. The campsite's toilets and wash facilities were very, very dirty.

The shared fridge wasn't clean, and the freezer was even worse. Lisa greeted us, but wasn't very friendly over our short weekend. It was only two nights, and we left early Monday, thankfully. Reading some reviews, I can't tell whether we're too demanding or others are too forgiving. All the best to you.

Being able to walk through the forest right at the campsite was a real treat. The tipis are comfortable and well equipped, and the shared space has several lovely places to relax. Lisa and Bastien welcomed us warmly, and we had a wonderful stay in this fantastic spot. Thanks, see you soon!
