Nid dans la forêt

We had a great family weekend and would happily recommend the place. Juana and Eric were kind and helpful, and we’re grateful to them. The spacious cottage was just as advertised and well suited to relaxing amid the surrounding nature. We especially liked the welcoming bar and kitchen, the living room with its wood-burning stove, and the excellent bedrooms, bathrooms and toilets.

The cottage is wonderfully peaceful, with a sunny terrace looking out over the pond and greenery. Everything made it easy to feel at home, and the hosts were incredibly friendly. We had a wonderful weekend at Le Nid dans la Forêt, surrounded by nature and close to a truly charming little village.

We spent New Year’s Eve at the house, and I was disappointed with the value for the price. The kitchen equipment was very poor. The cooktop was badly placed and too narrow for cooking for 12 people, and there were only two saucepans. The small dishwasher couldn’t fit the dishes and didn’t wash them properly. We had to bring in an induction cooktop, which made the kitchen very cramped. On New Year’s Day, we tried to turn on the TV for the countdown, but it wasn’t connected. The housekeeping was mediocre too. It’s a shame, as there’s so much to visit in the area. I’ll come back to the area, but not to this house.

The cottage was clean, and the rooms were thoughtfully set up for a large group. Our hosts were kind and available whenever we needed something, and you can tell they do their work with passion. We booked the Nest in the Forest for a birthday celebration with my companion and our friends. It felt like a dream in the middle of nature. We highly recommend it and are already thinking about coming back!
