Linda’s cooking was amazing, restaurant quality, and her signature Chinese meal is well worth asking about. We also had friendly, welcoming help from the hosts, Stuart and Linda, with Rupert supporting them. The chalet has a traditional Alpine feel, and the rooms are clean, roomy and nicely furnished. There were even enough hangers in the wardrobe. Stuart and Rupert arranged rides to and from the slopes around our plans, rather than sticking to a set timetable. That door-to-door help was much better than walking in uncomfortable ski boots. We had a memorable ski trip at Chalet Shufu in January 2018, and would recommend it. We hope to come back.

I only wish I’d booked a longer stay. Magda’s cooking was delicious, and Stuart and Magda were fun, friendly hosts. Stuart also helped me a lot with transfer problems. Chalet Shufu is a real gem, and seems like a great place for either winter or summer.

We came away feeling rested and relaxed. From the property, there are lovely views in almost every direction, and the brook bubbling below was so soothing. The accommodation was clean and homely, and Magda's food was delicious throughout our stay. Stuart treated us like family when we finally visited in July, after a short break we'd planned for March had to be postponed because my husband broke his leg skiing in January. He'd stayed at Chalet Shufu several times in winter and had always praised Stuart and Magda. Stuart was very accommodating about changing our plans, arranged our airport transfers and offered lifts into town when we needed them. I’d recommend Chalet Shufu to anyone wanting somewhere away from the bright lights and noise of some nearby resorts. We’re already looking forward to returning. Thank you, Chalet Shufu.

We slept so well with the river at the bottom of the garden. The accommodation and atmosphere were superb, and the hosts were perfect. I only wish we could've stayed longer.

The owners are lovely, and staying here made my trip. I can’t imagine finding a better place to stay in the Alps.
