The village feels magical, and this B&B and restaurant is a real gem. Robert puts so much passion into running it. We had a lovely room, a wonderful stay, and a generous serving of tasty breakfast. We’ll definitely come back.

We spent a fabulous few days in Saint Jean de Cole with a friend. The village is stunning, with a sweet little coffee shop and beautiful spots nearby. There are also rivers for kayaking and lakeside beaches. Robert was so generous, and his food was out of this world. Our bedroom was spacious and lovely. I’d definitely recommend a trip.

I’ve eaten here several times, and the food is outstanding. The host is charming, too. The rustic rooms are very clean and have lovely en suites. Breakfast is delicious and great value: eggs, bacon, sausages, yoghurt, fruit, tea and coffee, all freshly cooked when you ask for it.

The food was a real highlight. I had the beef Wellington, one of the best pieces of beef I’ve ever eaten. Robert was a brilliant chef as well as a charming, welcoming host, and we loved staying here in Saint Jean de Côle. Thank you!

We’ll be back many times. Robert is a wonderful host and a chef of real distinction. We had a beautiful meal: wild mushroom risotto to start, lamb with fig and orange and dauphinoise potatoes for the main, then a delicious lemon gratin.
