The reception staff were helpful, and the lift was nice and big. But for us, this felt like a very basic hotel, not a boutique one, and I wouldn’t recommend it as one. The spring mattress in our room was terribly uncomfortable and noisy. I can’t speak for the other rooms. Our shower was also old and dirty, with black grout, and I can’t comment on the rest of the hotel’s bathrooms. I thought breakfast was pricey, so we skipped it. We didn’t use the beach, though it takes a bit of a walk to get there, and the city center is somewhat far. It also seems clear that the hotel’s reviews aren’t verified.

The room was clean and welcoming, and the bathroom had fantastic water pressure. We also enjoyed a lovely breakfast with plenty of fresh, local products. The manager was pleasant, welcoming, and helpful, and Naomi, her cute dog, was a delight. My girlfriend and I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Maria-Christina this month, especially with the beach about a five-minute walk away. I wholeheartedly recommend it :)

We slept really well in the very comfy bed, and the clean, fairly well-equipped room was a good size with decent decor. Breakfast was an okay spread, generous enough to cover the basics, though not especially extensive. The hotel is on a quiet street, a short walk from both the beach and town centre. There was no wifi in the rooms, and I really didn’t appreciate the owner’s dogs running around the restaurant and begging for my breakfast tartine. The mismatched breakfast crockery felt more shabby than chic to me. A gravy boat isn’t a milk jug, after all.

Parking the car was the one tricky part. Otherwise, the location was perfect, just minutes on foot from the beach, boulevard, and restaurants. We stayed one night, liked the bed, and had a really nice breakfast in the garden. Despite the parking hassle, we’ll probably come back.

The location was perfect, and breakfast was excellent. The hotel owner gave us an amazing, warm welcome and was wonderful.
