Camping la Forêt

It’s a quiet, small site with parking on site, and the location is excellent, just 500m from the beach. There’s no camping anymore, only mobile homes. The homes have their own kitchens, or you can pre-order meals on site. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There are excellent cycle paths nearby, and renting bikes is easy.

The team were lovely, and the mobile homes are beautiful, with everything you need. It’s a peaceful spot beside a gorgeous pine forest, great for running, cycling, and walking, and there’s hardly any traffic. I really appreciate the campsite’s eco-conscious approach. Nights were wonderfully quiet. The site itself is top-notch, though the pool could be bigger. Our kids also missed having a football or multisports field. For teenagers looking for waves, be aware that we had to drive farther to reach beaches with proper surf.

We had such a good time in our Spa Villa that I’m already looking forward to coming back. We stayed for 9 days, and the villa was comfortable and well equipped. The Jacuzzi was maintained daily with hardly any disruption. It was lovely to spot wildlife in the back yard, including a Tawny Owl and a hummingbird moth. The whole site was clean, well maintained, and in a great location. Even when busy it stayed very quiet. The pool and spa were a nice place to relax in the sun. There are lovely walks and bike rides through the woods and along the beaches, with picnic tables and incredible sunsets. Most of the beaches were quiet, and the views were stunning. Staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful. Parking was allocated, and being able to charge our electric car on site was a huge bonus, at a good price too. It was easy to use with the QR code on the unit. The pizzas served on Friday night were really tasty. We missed the chicken, burgers, and chips because we went to Nantes to see friends on Saturday. Pornic was a lovely day out, as were Noirmantier-en-l'ile and Nantes. The local towns were quiet and had plenty to explore. A perfect spot for relaxing or getting out and about.

The accommodation was a really high standard, and we had a very enjoyable stay. It’s a quiet campsite with no entertainment or bar. The pool was great, and the beach is just a short walk away. Notredame de mont is about 20-25 minutes on foot, either along the beach or through the woods.
