Camping Le Bois Joly

The pool area is excellent, and the entertainment looks great, though it seems aimed at French speakers. The toilets were fairly clean. Shower temperatures could be a bit unpredictable.

We came back for a second year and had another excellent holiday. The bands at the bar were a real highlight, absolutely fantastic. The staff were very friendly, and a big shout-out to the lifeguard who helped find my daughter’s lost Fitbit in the lazy river. The animation team seemed a little less professional this year without Greg, but they were young and enthusiastic. It was good to see toilet paper provided in the campsite toilets. On our first visit, the entertainment and pool area were fantastic, and staff made a real effort to include my daughter in the kids’ club even though she doesn’t speak French. We had just two small complaints then: no toilet paper and sunbed hogging wasn’t managed. Both were handled better at the sister campsite Les Chouans. Still, we had a great time.

The pools are great fun, especially the lazy river that gently carries you along. Each camping pitch is a generous size and has its own water supply. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the local town.

If you’re into water, adventure, or just having fun, the Aqua park is well worth it. There’s so much to do and see that you won’t want to leave!
