Entre Terre et Mer

We had a great four-day stay and met some lovely people. The host was attentive and gave us excellent advice. The room at the back was spacious and nicely decorated, with privacy, though the parking lot view meant we kept the blinds nearly closed most of the time. Breakfast had everything we needed, especially the very good homemade jams. The area was peaceful and pleasant, not far from Saint Giles and Saint Jean de Mont. One small drawback, as the listing mentioned, was sharing the bathroom with the owners and other guests. It wasn't very convenient for drying towels and swimsuits or keeping our shower things there. I still recommend this B&B.

There was one shared bathroom and toilet for six people, owners included, so privacy was limited. There wasn't much room for our things or for drying towels, and the owners used up some of the bathroom space. Breakfast was shop-bought bread, jam, and brioche. The husband was much friendlier, while the lady of the house was very reserved and barely greeted us. When we booked, though, she had clearly said payment was cash only.

We’d booked a room for the weekend, then got a call the night before saying it was cancelled, with what seemed like an invented excuse. Apparently, they wanted to give the room to someone else, maybe an acquaintance. A terrible experience and quite an attitude.

I’m in the middle of a construction project, and this little weekend gave me just the recharge I needed. The hosts were so thoughtful, the place was clean and peaceful, and the mattress felt like the one at my mom’s. Pure bliss, such a lovely little corner of life.
