Mobile Home bois dormant

The mobile homes are lovely, and there's a great selection of pools with waterslides. The magnificent beach is just a six-minute drive away.

All the staff were polite, welcoming and friendly, and there was plenty to keep us busy on site, with daytime and evening entertainment for every age group. It's all in French, of course, which was fine for us but useful to know if you're coming from elsewhere and want entertainment in your own language. Across at the sister site Le Bois Masson there's a great shop. The pool area was clean, well managed by lifeguards, and large enough for the crowds. We never had trouble finding a sunbed. Our mobile home was clean, very well equipped and better than we expected, though the beds weren't the most comfortable. We had a great week at Le Bois Dormant, with lots to do nearby if you want to leave the site. Good value in a lovely part of France.

Our kids love this place, but after the way this was handled I'm not sure we'll come back. All the other pitches had a barbecue, but ours didn't. I told reception the day after we arrived and they said they'd sort it out. I gave them a couple of days, but nobody came and nothing changed. It may sound like a small thing, but when you're on a short break and the weather's nice, you want to cook outdoors. I don't usually leave negative reviews, but I feel we were treated pretty poorly. If I were anyone other than English, I believe it would have been dealt with straight away.

The rest of the stay was fine, but the WiFi cost extra and barely worked half the time. Every day it was a choice between a very cold shower and a very hot one. We got only a tiny amount of washing-up liquid, and even though we asked, there was no tea towel.
