Chalet Flocon Magique - OVO Network

The chalet and its surroundings are beautiful, and everything seems set up for rest, but our week at Chalet Le Flocon Magic left me with a very bitter feeling. We paid €2000 for 5 days hoping to relax, and came home disappointed. There was a strong smell inside from the moment we arrived, a mix of damp, wood smoke, and mold. It got into all our clothes and things, including coats, hats, bags, and the travel cot. It was hard to get rid of. I spent a week doing laundry and threw away the swimsuits. The spa itself is great, but the wooden roof is moldy. We were told to leave the window by the garage open, so I imagine there was a ventilation problem. The heating was off when we arrived, and the underfloor heating took 24 hours to start working. We had two children with us, aged 1 and 4. Some kitchen utensils were very dirty, the high chair was full of crumbs, and the kitchen dishwasher didn't work. The vacuum cleaner needs replacing. It was filthy and didn't pick anything up. When we cancelled our reservation because of COVID, OVO handled it professionally and was accommodating. The owner, SARL SCHMITT, has been completely unresponsive. They wouldn't refund us or provide written confirmation of a credit note, and the registered letters we sent with return receipts have gone uncollected. The owner hides behind a property development company, an empty shell, and has shown no professionalism or respect. They refuse to comply with the law or even reply to our correspondence.

We had a pleasant stay. I highly recommend it.
