The breakfast was nice, with croissants, bread, yogurt, cheese, and cakes, though the bread quality was poor. I think the owner could offer better bread for just 20 cents more, especially at a French place where a good baguette should be a given. The owner herself was kind and accommodating, but I wouldn’t return or recommend the hotel to friends. The sea view is beautiful, and the location makes it easy to get to the beach. The rooms are part of a residential villa, but they’re old and need renovation. Sound carries so badly that you can hear neighbors talking, flushing, showering, and the water running. We couldn’t get a good night’s sleep, and when the upstairs guests got up at 7 a.m. on Sunday, sleeping in was out of the question. Without sleep or privacy, I couldn’t enjoy the stay, and the price is far too high for what you get. The noise and condition of the rooms spoiled our holiday.

Right by the beach, so the location is superb. The B&B is inside an old residential house. Our room was cramped, the bed was uncomfortable, and sound carried through the walls.

From the garden, there’s direct access to the beach, which makes for a lovely long walk at low tide. Two rooms, including ours, have little furnished terraces where you can watch the sunset, the tides, and Mont Saint Michel Bay. We got a warm welcome, and in the morning the landlady greeted us with a big smile and a generous, fresh breakfast for an extra 7€. It was just the fuel we needed to explore the nearby Normand towns. The room was comfortable and the view was superb. Soundproofing could be better, and you can usually hear the neighbors. There’s clearly been a lot of effort to improve it, though, which must be difficult in a 19th-century house.

We stayed in the sea view room, and I found the bathroom smell awful, like sewage, with a strong, unpleasant cleaning product scent trying to cover it. The shower was old, its holder rusty and coming loose. The room seemed to have been redone once with poor quality materials, perhaps just enough to make it look good in the booking pictures. Now the wallpaper is peeling, the towels are old, and the tiny, very old sofa was badly folded with blankets sticking out. The dresser drawers were also left partly open because the blankets inside were too big. Worst of all, there were fleas, and I was bitten all night. I only took one photo, of the way to our room, but it shows how messy things were. The house is deteriorated in ways the pictures didn’t show. Booking and Google ratings didn’t help, and I thought earlier visitors’ comments were too polite and not honest. I’m used to simple places, so for me this isn’t about luxury, it’s about honesty and cleanliness. You shouldn’t invite someone into a messy house, especially when you’re charging them. It costs far too much for what it is. The location was good, and we were able to book at the last minute.

Lovely host, great breakfast, and good value for money. It’s close to st michaels mont and works for travelers with pets. A great place to stay.
