What made this a great stop was the welcome from Martine & Jean-Pierre Faure, along with everything they know about the area. The food was absolutely delicious and made with local produce. Their gîte is on the edge of a lovely little village and has several lodging options. We chose the more expensive bedrooms, each with a bathroom and views over the rolling hills. They’re on a par with 3* hotel rooms and good value for the money. A wonderful place to stop if you’re hiking or making a pilgrimage on the Chemin de St Jacques or St Regis.

We were three women and felt so warmly and thoughtfully looked after. Each of us had our own very clean room. The hosts go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Dinner was generous, tasty, and prepared with care. We recommend it.

After a good walk, the huge, quiet green garden is a lovely place to unwind on a sun lounger, with a view of the St. Jeures church steeple. The hosts are very welcoming, and the charming rooms are tastefully decorated. The gîte is practical, has everything you need, and includes two bathrooms. Everything was exceptionally clean. We really enjoyed the evening meal with local produce, and breakfast was generous, varied, and homemade. An authentic, welcoming place with excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

The owners are really friendly, the bed is decent, the bathrooms are clean, and the price is low. Still, this hostel has seen better days. The furniture is old, especially in the kitchen, where the oven and stove didn’t work. You can heat something from the nearby butcher shop in the microwave, though. The road is fairly busy and you can hear it, so next time I’d try another hostel in the area.
