Les Chataigniers

At €180 a night for five nights, I expected decent, clean accommodation. Instead, this was the dirtiest self-contained apartment I've ever had the displeasure of staying in. There was a melted chopping board, a disgusting dish sponge, half an inch of dirt on the lights, and a dirty patterned blanket on the bed. We booked online from New Zealand. When we arrived, we were too exhausted after a 33-hour journey to notice much at first. Then there wasn't a single employee around for three days. The information booklet had no Wi-Fi code, reception didn't answer our calls, and the out-of-hours number didn't pick up despite six attempts. After we complained to our booking agent, the owner gave us a measly €50 back. Seriously disappointing. I hope other travelers who come so far don't have the same experience.

We paid 160 euros a night for apartments that were dirty and dusty everywhere. The owner was rude, and there was no service at all. The whole place was a mess, a total rip-off, and the worst place I've ever stayed. Don't trust the hype. Very bad, wouldn't recommend it. Good luck to "les Chataigniers" in the future.

The surroundings are beautiful, and the food was lovely at first. We stayed here for 26 years, but it got worse over time as new management took over. Cauldwell Maye Fitzgerslds

A worn-out apartment with a broken fridge and oven, plus noisy air conditioning. The kitchen only had one pot and one pan. It just wasn't good enough.
