Bubble village house

Our rental was very disappointing. The house was spacious, and the host was pleasant and helpful, but the website photos don’t reflect the interior at all. It’s dilapidated, poorly maintained, and rather dirty. The cleaning needs work, though we understand the climate makes a perfect environment difficult.

The host welcomed us very warmly, but unfortunately the house didn’t feel welcoming. It was a letdown compared with the photos, which don’t reflect how it looks now. The place was run-down and quite dirty, and it clearly hadn’t been cleaned before we arrived: there was hair and fur in the shower and on the towels. The upstairs bathroom was unusable because of an unbearable smell; the downstairs ones were passable. There were ants in the house, as well as lots of cobwebs in several rooms. I know we’re in nature, but still. Outside, the artificial turf was completely ruined, and the general cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The kitchen utensils were poor, the kettle was full of ants and rust, and the stove was rusty too. The washing machine was another problem. The house needs a complete refresh, or at the very least honest, current photos so travelers aren’t misled.

A warm welcome in a large villa that’s a little out of the way, but peaceful. The rooms are lovely and spacious, good for a family or a group of friends, and it had all the amenities we needed.

Really nice place, and very quiet.
