The meals were the highlight for us. Marina and her family cook everything fresh, often using produce from their own garden. We ate a four-course dinner most evenings, and even after moving to our next place, we came back to eat at Marina's. For that price, we couldn't find better food anywhere on the island, so eating out elsewhere hardly seemed worthwhile. We spent two nights here on our honeymoon and loved it. Marina is a caring, dedicated host who does her best to meet guests' wishes. The beds are wonderfully comfortable, there's a heated pool, and breakfast is a proper French breakfast. The atmosphere is lovely, too. We can absolutely recommend staying here.

Dinner was especially delicious, and it made the evening feel lovely. Breakfast was fantastic too, with fresh, typical regional food. Marina is a wonderful host. Easily the best guesthouse on the island. All the best to you and your family, and a 100% recommendation!
One of the nicest places we stayed on our trip. The rooms are lovely, and the food is so good. Do try the dinner they offer, it's incredibly delicious. I'd absolutely recommend this accommodation.
The setting is quiet and well placed for visiting Cap Jaune, Langevin, and the lava flows. The building itself is beautiful, and breakfast was very good. The set menu was good too, though in my opinion it didn't justify the price. The welcome was pleasant, but service was limited. The pool and loungers are showing their age, and the grounds could use more upkeep. This listed guesthouse is over two centuries old. It used to be stables and later a rum distillery, so it's a real part of Réunion's heritage. It's a shame none of that history comes through inside. The rooms were very clean, but the furnishings felt like a jumble: African masks, Buddhas, shells, old lamps, and some very basic, low-end decor. It has the feel of a flea market, with no connection to the building's past. The owners don't have old photos or objects from that period and don't seem able to tell the story of the place. There's just one small framed photo on a piece of furniture outside, and up close it looks like a montage rather than a real image. For me, that takes away from the charm, despite how lovely the building is.
Marina made us feel so welcome and was wonderfully attentive. The meals were delicious, and our room was spacious and tastefully decorated. It's a unique setting, just right for a romantic weekend. We'd happily come back, and I highly recommend it.
