Camping Village de la Guyonnière

The staff clearly want you to enjoy your stay. There’s a good programme of kids’ club, activities, and entertainment, plus plenty to do nearby and bike hire on site. The caravan and camping pitches are large, and the facilities are great.

We made good use of the area for walking, running, and cycling, and the organised runs and rides were great for the parents. The cottage had everything we needed. The pool could be busy, but there was still enough room to swim and play, and we all loved the water slide. My 9-year-old son was especially into the soccer, dodgeball, and table tennis run by the Animation team. The shop was well stocked, and the water fountain was amazing. From the snackbar, we loved the crepes, chicken nuggets, pizzas, and Bitterballen. The staff were wonderful: Barbara in the shop, Lucy at the pool bar, and Nabila/Anne/Damian and the rest of the animation crew.

The campsite had a lovely feel, and its location was great. We had a great week in our safari tent, with loads of room both inside and out and a brilliant shower. The pitches are spread well apart. The bar and restaurant were good too, with really friendly staff. Grand Defi is nearby, and the zip wires are a must.

We stayed on pitch No. 97 with our touring caravan, and it was a lovely spot. The owners were often around and seemed very supportive of their staff, who keep the site to a high standard. Everyone was welcoming and friendly. The grounds were well maintained and clean, the pools were lovely, and we enjoyed the restaurant, bar, and happy hour. We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the facilities. My one negative is the lack of public transport nearby, which means people have to drive everywhere.
