The hosts are sweet and really helpful, and the place is spotless with a beautiful view. We were able to charge our electric car overnight, which was perfect. Breakfast was a delicious French spread, more than enough for us. It seems like a lovely spot for a single night or a full holiday, and we're keeping it in mind for a longer stay next time.

The outdoor setting is pleasant and everything was clean. The room's decor feels dated, though, and breakfast was decent but basic. The toilets are shared and out on the landing. Not bad, but there are much better choices nearby for the same price.

Breakfast was a highlight, especially the jams, and our table was nicely set for a cozy meal after we brought back pizza and wine from the next largest town. We were the only guests, so the whole house was ours and it was very peaceful, with no unnecessary contact, particularly around COVID. The owners welcomed us warmly. Our room was spacious, tastefully furnished, and had a great bed. There was free Wi-Fi, though the TV channels were only in French. The bathroom was very large; the only small downside was that the toilet was outside the room, though I don't think that's true of every room. We could charge our plug-in hybrid overnight at the Type 2/Mennekes point. A very pleasant stay at this château, and an easy five-star recommendation.

The hosts were attentive, and the property itself is beautiful. We had an excellent stay at Le Colombier, with a great base for exploring the charming area nearby.
