The hotel is situated in the heart of the village, 50 m from the thermal baths, 100 m from the cable car leading to the ski area and 3 minutes' walk from the new cable car. Guests can discover the warm and traditional atmosphere of a genuine Pyrenean village located in the heart of the Aure Valley and at the foot of this high-altitude resort. Restaurants and shops can be found within about 100 m of the establishment. The ski hotel is a high-comfort residence with comfortable and cosy apartments. Facilities include a lobby and lift access. All rooms are en suite. Facilities include a hairdryer, direct dial telephone, TV, fridge, microwave and tea and coffee making facilities. The hotel has an open-air swimming pool in the summer months. From Paris: take the A10 motorway (Paris-Bordeaux-Agen) followed by the RN21 via Auch as far as Lannemezan and the RD 929 to Saint-Lary.

The gondola was the main reason we came as a family, and the hotel is super convenient for it. The rooms feel dated, though, and the adjustable showers either won’t stay in position or fall off the wall. Maybe that works for our 3ft tall daughter. All the beds were left unmade, so we had to make them and put on the pillow and duvet covers ourselves. That wasn’t what I expected after paying 400€ per night. When we ran out of toilet paper during our four night stay, they told us we had to provide our own.

The staff are really friendly and always do their best to help us during our stay. The room is very nice, and the location puts you just 2 steps from the village center and 2 steps from the ski telecabinet. We always stay with them when we go to St lary.

The main ski resort lift is only a 2 minute walk away, so the location is ideal. The apartments are a nice size and super clean. The woman at reception is kind, efficient, and professional.

The apartments themselves are good. The problem is dealing with reception and Pierre et Vacances customer service. During booking, Pierre et Vacances offers insurance. When you make a claim, the insurance company asks for a stay certificate that Pierre et Vacances is supposed to provide. But nobody there will issue one. Customer service only gives an invoice, through a specific web portal, and by phone they say they can’t provide the certificate because it’s a reception staff matter. Reception, meanwhile, doesn’t reply directly to emails. So the insurance offered by Pierre et Vacances feels like a fraud, and the customer service is some of the worst I’ve seen. Absolutely not recommended.

The location works really well for getting to the slopes or spending time in town, and the apartments are clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. You really can’t ask for more.
