The suite worked well for my cycling trip through the Pyrenees over eight days. It had what I needed, and I appreciated having plenty of charging ports. The house rules, though, felt excessive and made us seem like unruly children, so I can't give the place more than two stars. I also judge the hotel and restaurant by how they handled a vegan guest. Dinner was just a tiny serving of rice with oily vegetables and no protein. At breakfast, I could only have bread and jam, with no soy milk, margarine, or fruit. The homemade apricot jam had mold in it. Please make sure your next vegan guest gets a proper meal. Lentils with the rice and soy milk at breakfast would be an easy start.

Get a confirmed reservation through a booking site. Without one, the owners may leave you out on the street if you won't agree to a higher price.

Set over the stream, the hotel has an attractive setting in the charming village of St Lary. It's a nice little place, with comfortable rooms and good service.

The salad was really poor, with soggy croutons, and the food overall was average and overpriced. There are much better places to eat.

A lovely, quiet Hotel in the wonderful Pyrenees. I'd love to stay here again.
